The Czech Republic’s premiere contemporary music ensemble Fama Quartet, featuring David Danel (first violin), Aki Kuroshima(second violin), Ondřej Martinovský (viola) and Balázs Adorján (cello), will perform a program of Dvořák, Martinů, and Husa at The Phillips Collection.
The program will include Dvořák’s famous “American” quartet and Tercet/Tercetto/Terzett, as well as Martinů’s Three Madrigals. The program will also include the String Quartet no. 4 “Poems” of Karel Husa who holds both the Pulitzer and Grawemeyer Award for Composition. Following the performance, Phillips Music Director Caroline Mousset hosts Coda Sessions, an interview and open discussion with the artists.
