On October 2, 2011, Czech designer Daniela Čermanová and business partner Michaela Schwartz unveiled their Four Seasons Collection inspired by Alfons Mucha's renowned Art Noveau posters at an Opera Fashion Show at the residence of the Ambassador.
Renowned Czech hairstylists Václav Pech and Ivo Špes presented the fashion models with beautiful updos utilizing thematic images of fall, such as colorful leaves and flowers in the models' hair. Czech makeup artist Richard Tichý also offered his expertise for the event.
Daniela Čermanová and Michaela Schwartz, both from the Czech Republic originally, founded their boutique clothing store Green and Blue in Washington, DC in 2007. The duo make quite a successful pair with Daniela’s degree in design and Michaela’s background in business.
Their boutique features a variety of clothing for men and women, as well as Daniela’s custom line of couture, ELA ELA (named after the last part of the first names of both co-founders). Their unique boutique caters to flexibility and creativity. A great benefit of the store is the personal attention they give to their clientele. Customers wanting custom jewlery to match a dress or any special embroidered design can have their wishes fulfilled within a couple of days.
