About the Artists:
Ester Pavlů, a Czech mezzo-soprano, has emerged as a prominent figure in opera, garnering acclaim both domestically and internationally. Notably, she has graced stages such as the National Theater Opera and the State Opera in Prague, making impactful debuts in roles ranging from Donna Elvira to Carmen. Pavlů, a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, continues to captivate audiences worldwide, collaborating with renowned conductors and achieving critical success with her recordings, including an award-winning performance in the opera What Men Live By. Róbert Pechanec studied piano at the Conservatory in Žilina and the Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since 1990, he has focused on collaborating with vocal artists. In 2004, 2005 and 2017, he received best piano accompaniment at the Antonín Dvořák International Singing Competition in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic. In 2008, 2021 and 2023, he garnered the same acknowledgement at the International Voice Competition of M. Schneider-Trnavský. Pechanec collaborates regularly with renowned singers, including Slovak soprano Adriana Kučerová and tenor Pavol Breslik, performing in prestigious venues across Europe. Additionally, he is professor at the Bratislava Academy of Performing Arts. He has a discography that features recordings with several notable artists.
