As a special tribute to this momentous occasion, KJ SAX performed "Prayer for Marta" (Modlitba pro Martu), a song that became a symbol of resistance against the 1968 Soviet-led invasion and was famously sung by Czech pop star Marta Kubišová. KJ Sax then delighted the crowd with a soulful rendition of Moon River and took to the audience for a lively medley of "I’m Still Standing," "What’s Up," "Mama Mia," and more. The crowd erupted in applause, prompting an encore performance that culminated in the ultimate crowd-pleaser, "Dancing Queen."
At the Dupont Underground, a memorable mural created by graffiti artist Jan Kaláb five years ago, features the date 17.11.1989 (please note: dates are listed reverse in the Czech Republic). The date of November 17, 1989, was the start of the Velvet Revolution, which toppled communism and led the country back to freedom and democracy.
The evening was a celebration of Czech history, music, and the power of artistic expression, all brought to life by the dynamic performance of KJ SAX.
